What is iHelp?

iHelp is a messaging app that connects businesses and customers over chat for FREE. It helps consumers search for different services listed with iHelp directly, and lets businesses address customer needs and build loyalty at no cost.

The iHelp app is available on iOS and Android. You can also sign up via web at www.ihelpapp.comxdesign.com

What is iHelp ID?

A iHelp ID is a unique identification code set by businesses to make it easier for consumers to find them on the iHelp app instantly. Businesses can share their iHelp ID with potential customers to start building client relationships faster.

Is there a size limit while attaching files using the iHelp app?

Yes. Size limit for attachment is 5MB for SMS and 10MB for chat.

Are chats private and secure on iHelp?

Yes. All conversations are separate on the ‘Chat’ screen, which keeps your chats private. That means, it’s a one-to-one conversation between businesses and customers to build strong customer relationships. Furthermore, the iHelp app ensures all your chats, including attachments, are secured using 128-bit SSL encryption.

Can I sign in to multiple iHelp accounts using a single device?

Yes. However, you must log out of your current iHelp account to be able to log in with another one.

We recommend using the most up-to-date version of the following browsers to have the best experience:

How can I contact businesses listed with iHelp?

You can contact businesses registered with iHelp in the following ways:

Option 1: Go to the ‘search’ field and type the name of the business you want to contact.

Option 2: Enter the iHelp ID in the ‘search’ field and instantly find the business you are looking for.

How can I manage my profile data?

You can manage the following profile information using the menu option on iHelp.

  • Edit/change your display name.
  • Add/upload your profile photo.
  • Change password.

Can I access messages on iHelp across devices?

Yes, you can attach any photos or videos or instantly click a photo (from phone) and send it, to communicate easily with businesses about your needs.

To send a photo or video via web,

  1. Under the ‘Chats’ tab, select the business you want to send a photo/video.
  2. On the chat screen, click
  3. Select a photo or a video you want to send.

Alternatively, you can navigate to the SMS tab and select contact you want to send a photo/video.

  1. On the sms screen, click
  2. Select a photo or a video you want to send.

To send a photo or video via mobile (Android device),

  1. Under the ‘Chats’ tab, select the business you want to send a photo/video.
  2. On the chat screen, tap
  3. Tap on ‘Photos’/’Videos’ to select photos or videos you want to send.
    Note: Just click on the video to send the video.
  4. For sending images, tap . A preview of the selected files appears. You can remove any selected files, if required.
  5. Tap ‘Send’.

You can also click a picture or record a video from your Android device and send it to businesses

  1. On the chat screen, tap .
  2. Tap on ‘Click Photo’/’Shoot Video’.
  3. Tap to send the photo or video.

Note: You can also use to click a photo and send.

To send a photo or video via mobile (iOS device),

  1. Under the ‘Chats’ tab, select the business you want to send a photo/video.
  2. On the chat screen, tap .
  3. Tap ‘Photo/Video Library’.
  4. Select folder and tap on the photos or videos you want to send.
  5. Tap ‘Done’. A preview of the selected files appears. You can remove any selected files, if required.
  6. Tap ‘Send’.

You can also click a picture or record a video from your iOS device and send it to businesses

  1. On the chat screen, tap
  2. Tap ‘Take Photo or Video’.
  3. Tap ‘Photo’ or ‘Video’ as required.
  4. Tap ‘Use Photo’/’Use Video’ to send the photo or video.

Can I access messages on iHelp across devices?

Yes, your chats can be accessed across all of your iHelp-enabled devices; which means conversations with businesses on phone will be synced on the web as well. This helps you continue your conversation from where you left off – either from your mobile device or web.

Can I turn ON/OFF promotional messages from businesses?

Yes. You can turn ON/OFF the offers, promos, etc from businesses that you have contacted. By default, promotional notifications are turned ON from businesses.

To turn OFF,

  1. Log in to your iHelp account.
  2. Go to the Menu option, and click ‘Manage Business Promotions’.
  3. A list of all businesses you have contacted appears. Click to turn OFF the businesses that you do not wish to receive promotionals.

How do I follow a business?

To follow a business,

  1. Log in to your iHelp account.
  2. Browse through the Business Directory.
  3. Click/tap a particular business.
  4. Click/tap ‘Follow’.

To follow a business,You can unfollow a business any time. Once you unfollow, you will no longer receive any promotional offers from that particular business.

Do I have to pay any subscription fee to list my business with iHelp?

No. Currently listing your business with iHelp is FREE. All you need to do is create a business account and promote your services on iHelp.

How can I add my business on iHelp?

You should sign up as a business user to list your business on iHelp.
To add a business,

    1. On the iHelp home screen, click/tap ‘Sign up’.
    2. Enter your email address and password, select ‘I’m a business’, and click/tap ‘Sign Up’. Click the link sent to your registered email address to verify and continue listing your business with iHelp.

    1. On the Add Details screen, type your business name, choose a suitable category, add description, insert logo, etc.

  1. Enter the iHelp ID and click ‘Continue’. The ‘Add Staff’ screen appears.
  2. Enter staff name and email address for any number of staff members you want to add’ [optional].
  3. Click/tap ‘Done’.

Can I add staff to my business account?

Yes, you can add any number of staff members to your business account in iHelp.

To add a new staff via web,

  1. On the iHelp home screen, click .
  2. Click on ‘Manage Staff’ -> ‘Add Staff’.
  3. Enter the staff name and email address, and click ‘Add Staff’.
  4. Click ‘Add More’ to add multiple staff members.

To add a new staff via mobile,

  1. On the iHelp home screen, tap .
  2. Tap ‘ Staff’. The ‘Edit Staff’ screen appears.
  3. Tap ‘Add More’. The ‘Add Staff Screen’ appears.
  4. Enter the staff name and email address, and tap ‘Done’
  5. Tap ‘Add More’ to add multiple staff members.

Note: Your staff members will receive a link to set their own password for the iHelp account you create for them. Once the password has been set, your staff members can log in to iHelp with their staff credentials and chat with customers on behalf of your business.

You can also remove staff members from your iHelp account.

To remove staff members via web,

  1. On the iHelp home screen, click .
  2. Click ‘Manage Staff’. Names of the existing staff appears.
  3. Click against the corresponding staff name. A confirmation message for deletion appears.
  4. Click ‘Yes ‘.

To remove staff members via mobile,

  1. On the iHelp home screen, tap .
  2. Tap ‘Staff’. Names of the existing staff appears.
  3. Tap against the corresponding staff name. A confirmation message for deletion appears.
  4. Tap ‘Yes ‘.

Can my staff chat among themselves?

Yes. All your staff members can stay connected over chat via iHelp.

To initiate chat,

  1. Log in to your iHelp account.
  2. Click/tap on ‘Staff’ tab.
  3. Click/tap a staff name to start chatting.

How can I integrate iHelp ID to my app and web pages?

You can integrate iHelp ID to your business app and web pages, for your customers to connect with you directly on the iHelp app.

To integrate iHelp ID,

  1. Log in to your iHelp account.
  2. Go to the ‘Menu’ option and click ‘Share it’. Your ‘iHelp ID share link’ is displayed.
  3. Enter the email ID to whom you want to share your iHelp ID.
  4. Click ‘Send’.
    Your iHelp ID will be shared in the form of an URL (). Use this iHelp ID share URL on your web pages and mobile apps.

Note: You can also add the iHelp ID on your marketing materials like business cards, that helps your customers view your business details on the iHelp app.

How can I send promotional offers, notifications to followers?

You can send promotional offers and notifications to all of your followers at one go.
To send a message,

  1. Log in to your iHelp account.
  2. Click/tap ‘Send Offer/Note’.
  3. On the ‘Promotional Offers’ window, type your description in the ‘Description’ box.
  4. Click/tap to upload an attachment.
    Note: You can only upload .jpg, .jpeg, .png, .gif file formats. Size limit for attachment is 5MB for SMS and 10MB for chat.
  5. Click/tap ‘Continue’.
  6. To send the message via chat, select followers under ‘Choose Followers’. To send the message via SMS, select contacts under ‘Choose Contacts’.
  7. Click/tap ‘Send’.

What is iHelp SMS feature?

You can send promotional offers, updates, notes and more directly to your customers as an SMS through the iHelp SMS feature. You can sign up and send SMS messages to all your customers via iHelp. All you need is the mobile number of your customers to send them your important business notifications.

Note: Currently, we offer this service for free. We will notify you once this service becomes chargeable.

Can I send SMS to customers?

Yes, you can send messages to your customers via SMS.

To compose an SMS,

  1. Log in to your iHelp account.
  2. Click the SMS tab.
  3. Click Compose SMS. The Compose SMS screen appears.
  4. Enter the contact number or click icon to select the contacts.
  5. Type in your message. Click to add attachments.
  6. Click Send.

What is Chat Widget? How can I add Chat Widget to my web page?

By embedding Chat Widget in your web page, you can help visitors to chat with you directly.
To add Chat Widget,

    1. Login to your iHelp business account

  2. Copy the HTML code and paste it in your web page.

Can I send PDFs and text files to businesses?

Yes, you can attach and send PDFs or text files, to communicate easily with businesses about your needs.

To send a text or PDF file via web,

  1. Under the ‘Chats’ tab, select the business you want to send a PDF or text file.
  2. On the chat screen, click .
  3. Select a PDF or text file you want to send.

To send a text or PDF file via mobile,

  1. Under the ‘Chats’ tab, select the business you want to send a PDF or text file.
  2. On the chat screen, tap .
  3. Tap ‘Documents’. A list of existing documents appear.
  4. Tap on the required document to send.

Note: Currently iOS devices cannot send documents. However they can view documents sent by others.
